This course offers an in‐depth study of the book of Joshua, exploring its historical, literary, and theological dimensions. We will examine how God fulfils the promise to Abraham through Israel’s entry into Canaan, how Israel is called to live under the covenant, the significance of the conquest and land‐distribution, and finally what faithfulness means for the people of God. From a Nepali Christian context, we will reflect on how the themes of covenant faithfulness, land/possession, warfare, and renewal speak to the church and its mission today.
Key themes include trust in God, justice and judgment, covenant renewal, leadership (Joshua as type of Moses), and the ethics of war and land.
